Michael Collins House is situated in a restored Georgian house on Emmet Square. Collins lived on Emmet Square with his sister and her family from 1903-1905 while he studied at the National School just around the corner.
There is also a statue of Michael Collins in Emmet Square. Unveiled by Liam Neeson in 2001 the statue designed by artist Kevin Holland depicts Collins giving an animated speech.
